This is an amazing project and documentary. I just wheeled my 57 into the garage and have started the teardown after 2 years. This is definitely motivational/inspirational. Keep up the awesome progress!
FINALLY! got my seat and panels back after a year. Oh well, better than nothing. I also had a stock set of caps chromed for it last fall
Dean Moon from Moon Equipment Company had a yellow and white two tone 57-60 push truck for his dragster in the late 50's. It had the moon eyes on the doors (large) and the company logo. I have an old picture from a Hot Rod magazine somewhere, you could probably find the picture somewhere on the web. I had always liked the two tone yellow and white on those trucks and thought about going that way with my 59, doing it complete with the eyes on the doors. My first 59 was red and white and that looked good too. I have only had this one 32 years so maybe someday I will make up my mind! Love your 57.
