Possibly a different John Cannon on the Mecom team - the F5000 racer (who famously lapped the field in the rainy victory at the '68 Laguna Can-Am race) was a UK-born resident of Canada.

I always thought those "signature" Ferrari vents were really more of an afterthought - because the grill opening was too small - at least for race cars anyway.

It sure looks like Moon livery and being right there I thought it would be easy to find but no shots of a Corvette connected to Moon pop up in a search.
