This 1930 Ford Coupe was my Great Uncle Delain's. I believe Delain purchased this Model A sometime in the late 80's or early 90's. In the late 90's he gave it to his brother, my other Great Uncle "MJ", the pics and barn are from MJ's home in Fair Oaks Ca. The car was stored in this barn since the 90's. Rats and dust called it home since then. MJ sold the A to me in 2001. MJ is in the pics but sadly passed away in 2008. I finally pulled it out of the barn Jan 2009 and have been working on it ever since. My plan is to keep the car stock appearing with updated internals, mild hot rod/street rod style. Stock engine with bolt ons for now. I have a 5 speed conversion and speed parts for the stock engine.

Got the front brakes completely plumbed today, should have the rear brakes done tomorrow. I’ve done more in the last 5 weeks than I’ve done in the last 5 years.

Ouch I feel your pain. Are you OK? Whiplash and all . With that shock torn off do you think there is any frame or rear end damage?

I have a stiff neck, frame appears ok, will have to take it apart to see. Sick about it.

I sure like what you did with the car, sorry you had to tangle with one of our knucklehead California drivers. Get it fixed and it just adds to an already interesting car history. Hope you’re ok.
