Guys, I'm not sure I'm allowed to post this since I'm a noob with only my introductory post, but here goes- an older friend of mine has lost his storage, his interest, and his wife's tolerance for his '59 Buick Invicta project. It's a 2dr HT with some new floor pans and parts, and a '72 Centurian (I think) donor car for the 455 engine & 400 Turbo he was going to install. Sadly, the nailhead motor is long gone. The cars are in NW Arkansas. If you can't PM me because of my status, I'll look for replies and see if he's OK with giving out his phone #.
Sorry, I don't have any. He lives in Kansas and is down here for the weekend; I'll see if he has any that we can put up.
OK, he brought a file folder with some old prints. Hope these work; you gotta understand I was drug into the 21st century kicking and screaming...
That car is NOT ugly. Tell your buddy that new storage can be found, perhaps he should do a trial run without the wife for a while. He might decide to keep the car.
If your heart is not into it, help you buddy sell the car, even for Free somethings are more h***le then their worth, next thing you know it be 5-10 years ago you helped your buddy drag a car across the state to leave it at your house. And you dont even like it. Also dont take on a project for the sake of saving face or helping someone out. Help him out by posting the car for sale in the cl***ifieds.
Not even ugly or even close as the Bat Mobile was based off of a Lincoln prototype. Please learn at least a little of what you desire to ridicule.
Thats a good looking car. Keep as is, or what a start to a custom. Being mostly complete is a big bonus. My car trailer is 18' that thing would hang off the end.
'59 Buicks always looked to me like 'GET OUTTA MY WAY OR ILL EAT YOU!!' cars.... LOLOL... Stephen King missed a bet... he should have used one of these for 'Christine'.
Didn't mean to offend anyone with the "fugly" comment. As for ugly, none of you guys have seen me except arkiehotrods, and he's too nice to comment. In VANDENPLAS' post the 1st & 4th pictures are what Lee had in mind for the 59, but sadly life got in the way and it's up to someone else
