If this is the wrong place for this post please let me know.....I chose this because I figured the “hot rodders” would have some good ideas....may be a “lame” post, but I am looking to pick your creative minds....wheels can “make” the car sometimes......my ‘42 Maroon Ford Tudor (my first oldie like this)...I have a set of Gennies from Wheel Vintiques (I currently have them painted silver...ho-hum)....will be using the original hubcaps...and s/s trim rings.....I would really prefer to paint them a color that “pops” and would look good with the maroon .....looking for your CREATIVE ideas on some color choices. Thanks in advance for any help.
You're right, wheels can make the car and maroon would be a hard color to contrast with. You can't go to wrong with black though.
I’ve seen red wheels on maroon cars and also tan. Maybe ask one of the photoshop gurus here to post up a few choices for you.
That's a good sideshot. Post it over here and the guys will help you out. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum...p-thread-to-end-all-photoshop-threads.300531/
I think white walls will definitely make it pop to Sent from my moto z4 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I'd go with black wheels, caps and trim rings, and wide white walls. Great looking car by the way, don't see many '42s...
I'm building a 30 Sport coupe and painted it 40 Ford Mandarin Maroon with orange wheels, a lot of contrast but it suits me.
Match the interior. Looks to be tan, paint them tan and pin stripe in maroon. And lower that front end!
I used Wheel Vintique Chrome Smoothies with their baby moon caps.....15x6 & 15x7's ..the car was more a burgundy than maroon but the chrome wheels made it pop.........sold it like a dope a few yrs ago........DUH!..........andyd
