And really, really REALLY heavy!

 

Well dang . The pic of the car on the lift and your ceiling height makes me hopeful I can have a lift too .

 

I have almost 2 feet more to raise it.

 

You may want to get a steel plated sheared to lay under the the little wheels in the back. They will pulverize the concrete and then you'll have a pair of ruts. I don't have 1st hand experience, but a friend has one and his is on a plate.

Good idea. It just so happens I have a chunk of 1/8" I use as a welding table on one of those Stanley Work-Mate tables...

 

I'm starting to see the advantages now. How heavy is it? Maybe I could use one outside in the driveway if I have too much going on in the garage.

Half a ton. I used my loader with pallet forks to get it in the garage. It’s “portable “ in a very limited sense.

So not something you could hook a handle to to move it around in your shop?

 

As Long as you remember to close the door.

 

How high will it go?

 

Could make the godawful job of underdash wiring a lot easier, or at least the getting down on the floor of the car and back up / out again!

The lit will raise 55”, I can get it 4’ with this car, good working height.
