About the only time I've gone on the main board in the last year is to look at the Friday Art Show.
I was bored when I found the thread on our cars.
They're too judgemental about adding new parts on old cars. I'll bet half of them weren't even alive in the 50s.

I agree, bunch of A-holes over there that think your building the car for them and their opinions matter

I agree some times. 90% or more have upgraded to many items to mention but the main board won't allow some of them. Some times here on the "brands" page is the only place that seems not to be affected but a lot of the main site readers with knowledge could help.

I don’t mind being on the main board. Just have to take it in stride. I, however, just try not to talk about things like the 4.6 in my t-bird though. Pretty sure I would get roasted for something like that.

Yep, ask me how I know, lol. I can't even post pics of my interior. I did once and one response I got was "BAAAARRRFFFF!!!!" I may have misquoted the number of letters. I looked his profile up out of curiousity and found he was going to a junior college. Thankfully, a few members got on to him about his momma not teaching him any manners, but I did almost leave the Hamb at that point.

From your main board thread, it sounds like your Friday issue was with the m*** airflow sensor (MAF)? They won't run without them, and with that in mind keeping the air intake plenum fitted together tightly is important to keeping it running smoothly.
Have you had a chance to check out the wiring yet? I'm curious if he wired it using parts of the CV's oem wiring harness or used a Ron Francis kit. It should be pretty easy to tell the difference...all the RF wires would be identified, and there also would be a Televork "patch panel" close (18" or so) to the computer.

Yes, it was the MAF sensor that was just dirty. It is mostly the harness out of the Crown Vic.

Wow, I admire guys that have the ability to sort out that wiring. It's way beyond me, to the point where if it were not for Ron Francis, no way would I have attempted a 4.6...... I'd be asking questions about 351's, lol. Kuddos to him, particularly in the timeframe he did it.
Yes, I forgot the "clean" part......and they're extremely delicate. That wire is only .001 or 2.
I forgot to tell you, funny story, a week after the rod run, I was telling one of the local car guys that meet on Saturday night in the old rt66 district about the run. He asked where it was, I told him it started in Arcadia (Arcacia?). He replied.Arcadia??.....last Saturday?? Guess where I was last Saturday!! He even stopped at Pop's. Never saw any cl***ics.

No kidding. He must have just been there at the wrong time. I guess if he was there anytime after 9:30 or so, he wouldn’t have seen any of the 220 cars that were there earlier. :D

We are all judgmental at times, even here and on the '54 Ford Club of America.

I am more of a hot rodder, not a restorer so I can't help with some of the questions posed, but I can appreciate all the restored, resto rods, hot rods and g***ers found here and the main board. HRP
