Yah, but it's not a 33 DeSoto. Painted grille shell. Maybe a 35 or 36?

    It's a '33 DeSoto, as tb33anda3rd said. Here's another '33, with painted grille shell.

........Apparently in Ontario. Fascinating story about how it got the name. Involved a Model T.

Thanks for the help everyone. My mom was holding her engagement ring and the picture is at my grandparents farm, Woodbridge, Ontario, Canada. Burnt River is a throwback to when we all were safe and the kids can run wild. Wish there were more place in the world like this. Thanks again. Dave L.

It doesn’t have to be limited to a small town. I lived in NE Washington DC and then in PG county just over the line and did the same thing. Never had a worry. I just think kids were brought up different then.

Still live this way. The key never leaves the ignition on my truck unless I go out of town. I have always wanted A Desoto grille. It`s on my bucket list. Even more than a 32 Grille.

Mom never said that. She took care of things herself and you let her because you didn't want dad to.
