I have a question that I hope some of you can answer. Same question for different cars. How many inches between the frame rails in the engine compartment. '55 ford f100, 49 ford f1, '50 ford car, '53 ford car and a '53 chevy. Is a '49 thru '54 chevy frame the same? Thanks for your help!!

 

49-54 Chevy p***enger car frames are the same.

53/56 F100 frame is 34 inches wide at the outside. F 1 is 32 inches outside to outside. You will have to do a search and find the shoebox measurements on your own,

 

34 inches is common for many truck frames
