Man what a great show I still cant believe the turn out wasnt way bigger anyways here are some pics more coming
Hey man, sorry I didn't get to see you leave. I didn't see a lot of people leave actually. My buddy Adam came by and picked me up and we went for a ride down the highway in his Tucker! That was really cool!
I'm interested in full frontals & more of these WTH was GB doin there ? You did get him to sign your dash didn't ya ? See ya @ lunch.
A ride in the Tucker Fuck man you had a pretty good week Id say LOL How bout the JR Brown show he wailed ! Nick and his Dad merged on the 55 right next to us when we were leaving but I didnt get to talk to them at the show either
I made it over Saturday evening for a bit. We were over visiting family east of Bloomington and finally got to make it over but it was pretty late. Allot of the cars outside were either leaving or had left. There was some way cool cars inside. I will have to try to make it back to this one next year for at least a full day.
Junior did indeed rock! He thinks everyone oughtta have a "Hot Rods From Uranus" T-shirt too. Ha Ha Ha Anyone who lives within 3 hours of this show that did not attend is indeed a loser! I couldn't imagine any real car guy having anything more important to do than hanging out looking at some of the nicest and rare cars around that close to home. You will not see a collection of cars like this unless you go to the Starbird Museum or THIS SHOW. Larry spends a LOT of money to get these cars here to be seen. I am glad that he enjoys doing it so much. I talked to them about next year and they said it will be the same time, same place. MARK THIS ONE ON YOUR CALENDARS FOLKS!
awsome week end at the 66 thanks plowboy, and the gang from Rat Fink!! see ya out there Rick, MACS RATZ!!!!
Denise, the car Dave brought was the Red C cab that Rick just posted pics of. It was build in 1970 by Dan Woods I believe. It runs a blown nailhead built by Mickey Thompson. Rick, it was good to see you again! We will see you at the Pileup I hope! Two of the best shows in the country are in ILLINOIS folks!
It was definately a good show with tons of potential to be even better. To see some of these cars with so much history in one place is a rare occurence. Not to mention having several of the actual builders present. Got to meet a bunch more Hambers too which is always a good thing. I'm looking forward to this one again next year...mark it on the calendar! Bill
Is there a trick to getting those pictures to open? All I get when I click on them is a page of symbols and letters strung together.
Hey Jack, at my age it is nice to be prepared, cause ya never know. Actually that might be cool to be buried in this. I don't think the lid would close though. I agree this is a kick ass show, it should just get bigger and bigger. More pics at http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=999&gid=11721966&uid=1412684&members=1 BB
It's only been a few months since Dick Korke's "Parisenne" custom was shown on ebay, and discussed as being an ugly survivor. Who restored it? It looks damn fine in the coverage!
Thanks for the link. I hadn't heard of the show before, and I was initially confused because we also have a big show called "Rock-N-Rods" here in PA.
Inside...outside it was a GREAT show! It was good meeting fellow HAMBers, sharing stories and hang out with all the Kustom Builder Icons and the newbies too. The pinheads were kind enough to let me join in and drop some lines...Oh yah and watching GB sign some of the girls was entertaining to say the least.
