    Hi all.
I got hold of one of those typical y shaped alternator brackets at take gm style alternators. I have the wide pulley and it appears that the belt I have is not long enough. It is an old belt, so only using it as a reference.
    Should the standard belt fit?
As this is the wide belt, alternative sizes don’t seem commonly available.
Does anyone have any experience with the wide belt block and these brackets.

I am in a rural community and there are two farm supply stores in town that have a good supply of those wide belts. They are used on all sorts of farm equipment like tractors and combines.

Thanks guys. Over here in Australia, looks like I found a place based on your advice.
They are also far cheaper than any belt from an auto parts shop.
    Hopefully head down there tomorrow.
