Technical Metalshaping Stump fabrication

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by magna.machine.works, Nov 22, 2020.

  1. Just uploaded the latest video to my youtube channel. I will be going into some serious metalshaping, you won't want to miss it!

  2. I have had a chance to use this a little bit more. I am very happy with the results this is allowing me to achieve!

Nice job. You need a heavier bossing mallet, however. You are having to do way too much work with the hammer. :D

  7. Thank you! I absolutely am doing too much work! I need A heavier hammer! These little ones are ok for fine tuning

  8. Those look great! This is exactly what I need to build! Are the ends Teflon or Delrin?

    Delrin , Bill

  10. Thanks Bill, I can't wait to receive the blocking hammer. My next step will be to fix up my cheap planishing hammer to perform better. Stiffen the frame and raise it up. The height right now is too low by far, I am 6 feet tall, so I think I will raise it to 38 inches.

  12. Thank you Bill! I got called into a remote work site for the next few weeks, so I am going to make a video from some footage that is on my computer that I wasn't going to use. I started fooling around with it last night and actually like a bunch of it. I am hoping to have a video released the end of next week, or early the week after. I go over some mods I did on my cheap english wheel and how I am integrating it into a metal shaping station
