49-52 Chevy guys, what steering column did youdecide on?

What is the size of the stock steering shaft inside the column? I have a butterfly accessory wheel I am trying to install, but it seems to be smaller than the 3/4"-36 spline.

 

Bump.. have my suspension ready to be installed, car didn't come with a column. Would prefer an original looking column, Wilton Fab is $$$$$, will be using a TH350 with floor shift.

 

Yes, '54 Chevys had factory turn signals available, as well as on '54 trucks. The same complete unit is on Corvettes up until 1962. They are readily available on the web.
