Check this video out. The night before the Harvest Field Drags Charlie Hascall swapped the motor in car 305. The girls had the engine nearly ready to pull when he got there and he worked all night to complete the swap. Car 305 hot lapped all day long with multiple drivers and it never missed a beat.
Cool, I watched it in the other video but didn't know that it just got the new to it engine that night.
The 305 car ran pretty much flawless all day. It has a gravity feed fuel system. When the fuel was low it would stutter on the top end otherwise it ran very strong. Hopefully next year we will have some good grudge races. Charlie’s 32 broke the trans early in the day spewing gear oil out the bottom. We were looking forward to some good heads up races between Charlie and Jerry Chin.
