Technical hood ornament???

SOMEONE know what this hood ornament came off ?? maybe 50's or early sixty's tell me your thoughts

 

Hard to see all the features but it looks like a 1938 Oldsmobile. HRP

 

47 Studebaker Strat-o-lined.

 

Studey is my bet as well but I'm obviously not as familiar with the names as Joe Blow!

Boy that hood must be hard to lift!

 

It really takes flight when you do get it lifted though
