This is the seat that was in my 34. It was probably last recovered sometime in the 50s. It’s in pretty bad shape and I’m not going to use it in my build. Before I throw this thing away is there any value here?

i wouldn't toss it yet, but thats from a hoarder. in my 34 i used an original bottom spring that needed to be rebuilt, and a new top. new ones are not as well made, and about 200 bucks if i remember. the problem is shipping large items has gone wild. you have no location in your avatar... just might be someone close by that needs it

I'd take that if you're in driving distance. I've got a super junk seat shell for my '34 but no springs at all, that'd be a starting point. Something is better than nothing, I'd hate to see it get tossed.

May sound bombastic .. .. but you'd be surprised what a pressure washer does to an interior that one would think is ruined.

I have brought many back with a good scrub, water to rinse the soap out .. & then the coup de gras .. an angled blast of a pressure washer wand.

    Turns out pretty damned spiffy.

Your mileage may vary .. just use your noggin in judging water pressure, angle & distance from wand tip.

I checked today on shipping costs for this. It looks like it would be around $300. I am located in Wyoming I don't know if there's anyone close enough that would want to come get it. Just a note I might be in the Phoenix area this winter if that helps anyone . I hate to throw it away but it's taking up room in my shop.

Any 33-34 Ford part has value, just my biased opinion. Someone will be glad you saved that seat for their project. Here is a pic of one I put in my 33 coupe - this stock bench 33 Ford seat came from a coupe built as a hot rod in the 60's. I got the door panels from the same coupe and feel very lucky that I can preserve these pieces of local rodding history in my build. IMG_2664 copy.jpg
