the whole reason they made four doors was because we couldn't get your fat ass girlfriends(and your moms, the milfs anyway) behind the seat of a two door........again viva las four doors

Ehhhh come on guys. It's the lines of the car, not how many doors it has.

Or how badly ya gotta compensate for LDS (little dick syndrome).

Hahahaha - I drive a four door POST, and I don't give a fuck what ya think of it...I love it!

NATAS - Have fun with yer 88. Here's my 98 Town Sedan. I just dropped the ass another 2" yesterday for a little reverse rake. I've also got a 98 Holiday Sports Sedan. Drop me an email man. chrisolson@secludedgraphics.com

If they are it's ok with me. I know it's not "desirable" like a 2 door but I like it.
    This has been covered before.

Mine is a '67 Malibu 4 door hardtop. 29,000 miles originally owned by my great aunt. She gave it to me before she died. I like it when all the windows are down at once and it's all open.

I would love to have a 2door but with 3 kids and an ol' lady it made more sence to go with the 4. alot cheaper I don't have hardly any cash in it compared to other projects I do.this is my daily driver we don't own a mini van, this is it.it goes to the store ,the cruise ins ,church and still get looks every day.would I rather have a 2 door? sure, but then I wouldn't let my kids in it day after day kicking the back of my seat and flipping the rear ash try lids either.

And you can bring your old friends. Been awhile since I've said anything around here but the 4 door 64 Impala custom I’m building is nearing completion. As I've said in the past I find it much more interesting to have four doors for the friends and family that want to ride with us. It's a post model hardtop (g car) that I've just finished putting 2” drop spindles along with 4 wheel disc brakes on. It’s shaved front to back. New ball joints and bushings all around along with new body to frame bushings as well. Going big sway bars and much better handling. Sort of an old school sport sedan. It’s looking meaner every day. It was a 327, now about a 360 with the 40 over, 350 crank and 262 extreme energy comp cam along with maximum intake and exhaust valves. Just finished the 2 1/2 inch dual exhaust with Flowmaster fifties tied to nice new headers. You know there were over 200 holes in this car for trim and handles to weld and get smooth. Looks great but final paint will wait until the interior is done. Air conditioning is next, and I wonder what to do there? The car originally had it, but the parts, condenser etc is old. Comfort, speed, handling, why would I not want 4 doors? Better than a new S class when it's done, don't ya reckon?

Personally, I like fat chicks better than 4-doors. Well, mostly.

If you drive a 4-door, you have to run a skull-n-crossbones license plate up front to let people know that you are still tuff, and quite possibly a pirate.

There is no law against drinking in a car in New Zealand. The only thing the law is concerned with is the driver being sober.

You 4 door lover's are kooks. I bet if they had some miracle cure for short dick you'd say, "No thanks, I'm cool with the 2 incher God gave me."

I'm kidding, kinda, I really love '59-'60 GM flat tops and I can understand that Europeans and Australian/New Zealanders didn't get many 2 door or convertible choices, but I bet most 4 door owners would swap for a 2 door in a heartbeat if given a chance.

Is anybody gonna sit here and tell me tha a Foose BUILT four door will bring as much as ANY two door of the same make/model owned by the guys on this board?

My point is that the skill of the builder is EVERYTHING. I've seen LOTS of 2 doors I would not be caught dead in, and 4 doors that I loved.

What's in vogue right now is KUSTOM. 2-door 4-door doesn't matter as much today as it did in the 50's and 60's as the quality of the work done, UNLESS it is rare or a muscle car. There's a whole new generation of glod-chainers that are buying what tHEY think is cool and the number of doors is a much smaller part of the price and getting smaller.

Been there. Kept my 4 door. Three times, actually.

There's a lot of four doors with lines that look like shit, but some of them have better lines than their two door counterparts. Which, I believe is the case with mine...the roofline is ten times better than the Impala style roof that comes on the Starfires.

I would have much rather had a 57 Bel Air hardtop than a 4 door Sedan. Considering I drove my car home, complete with all trim, and all there, for about half of what a 2 door HT SHELL costs, it's getting me by for now. One day I'll get the shell and transfer all the parts over. Kind of weird I'm buying cutom parts for a car I don't yet own though. :)

I don't know about a craze, but you will be seeing a big increase in classic 4 doors on the road in the next few years. Thanks, Barret Jackson.

Oh yes :) 59/60 GM Flattops are nice....very long roof and the car is very flat. The airride is still missing, but here are some pics of mine (Bellflower Tips are on it now, and the missing chrome is back on the car)

God damn Tingler, I wished I had your enthusiasm and love for 4 doors; and then I could give a damn about my Nova.

    I don't own a 4 door.

....well, unless you count this shitty '89 Buick I have.

I'll trade it for your 4 door Nova.
