lately my tastes have been leaning to more of a older style look.mainly mid to late forties.so after many nites of dreaming, i finally had a plan.i was going to build me a truck.so while my dad wasn't looking i staked claim to a 32 BB truck we have in the back of the shop.along with the truck i claimed a pile of parts that had been leftover from other projects. even though the truck will look old it will have a 327 and a 5-speed fed by a man-a fre 4 deuce intake.out back will be an early quickchange hung by a model A spring, with hand made ladder bars.stopping power will be from 40 juice brakes.wheel and tire combo will be 17 and 18 inch ford wires shod with 4.50-17 and 7.00-18 black walls. i hope ya'll like the pictures. more to come soon, hopefully! -danny http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/brucesrodshop@sbcglobal.net/album?.dir=b4fescd&.src=ph&store=&prodid=&.done=http%3a//photos.yahoo.com/ph//my_photos

Gees - #1 Wish I had a truck like that to start off with #2 Wish I had the time to work on mine & customers - must be awesome...no matter who says that owning your own business is rough. There is no reason you can't make your own hours and tell people that's what they are (giving you time for God, Vacations, Family, Friends, and your own projects/hobbies)
...has your dad still got that 32 truck I sold him? The bodywork was done...woulda made an easier start for ya...
yes he still has it.i thought of using it but i liked the look of the old paint on the other truck better than putting fresh paint on your old cab. -danny
thanks.i like the way it looks also, but it shure eats up the time.it's hard to see any big progress when all you get done is some brackets. -danny
Oh what fun ! I'm starting to clean up a '34 Ford pickup that sports a 350 with the dropped front axel. I appreciate the time and effort your putting into your '32. At 70 I just don't have that much time left, so I'll spend more time driving this rig than rebuilding. I realize after a lifetime at this, that the building is really where the fun is. After you drive them a few times, you just want to find something to tweak a little bit more. Enjoy the journey.
