The water jacket hole next to cylinder 2 (pointing screwdriver) seems either to be made sealed or clogged, I tried to see if I can dig into but i don’t want to damage it by mistake
    Is this typical? Thx

Could it be a broken head bolt?

I don't know if this helps because this is a 241 , but there is no hole in this block at that location. If nothing else I'll get you back to the top. CIMG0007.JPG

Is there a mating hole in the gasket or cylinder head?

What does the other bank look like? The hole in gasket may be there only so that it can be used on either side. What you are seeing may just be a bit of corrosion; that 241 block certainly doesn't have a hole there.

Doesn't have a hole but has corrosion mark?

It's been like forever since I've had one of those off. But, I think you'll find the gasket fits both sides but only one has that hole. Take a look at the other bank.
