Can anyone shed some light on what this is? Here's the story , it came off of a dragster with a S.Co.T. blower in the 50s or 60s. That's all I know and it's not in my Possession.
Looks like it was made for a blower... I could probably wittle something like that on a Bridgeport....
There's no name or numbers on it, so you may be right. Am I correct in saying it has a barn door in the center for a throttle plate. Looks like it just dumps large amounts of fuel down to the motor without much control. Is it worth anything?
looks like a late 60's enderly injector, although the fuel block looks to be hilborn? On a side note, a good friend told me that he and his buddies always used enderly injector manifolds on there rail but preffered to swap out the nozzles, lines & fuel block to hilborn because they felt the were a better? Holy thick throttle plates, Batman! Home brewed version of an Enderle "Barn Door" as pictured above. Maybe an Enderle prototype?
Yes it would be considered a barn door style injector, but as far as it dumping large amounts of fuel. The fuel is regulated by way of the metering valve, and the nozzle size. Also the pump size whether it be a P-150 -0, or -1. When you balance all these components you can adjust how much fuel is delivered into the engine. The metering valve body, lines, and nozzles are Hilborn. It may not even be 50's equipment, but 60's. I've been around Hilborn equipment for fifty years. This injector body may have been fabricated out of a billet aluminum part, or a casting. I've seen different set ups like this over the years. It's nothing new, but it is different. Possibly even Unique.
I purchased the SCoT and was offered the FI, supposedly they ran together. I not sure what to do with the unit, it's not something I need for a street car. Any Ideas?
Do you know who has this injector ? My grandpa and his buddies had one like this on a willys and I would be interested in seeing if it was forsale
