The '59 and roadster are good but the '58 really has a look. It has to be wheels & stance.

  7. Although not as low as some on this thread, the before and after of my car somewhat prove this point too. My car is pretty much an unrestored survivor, but step one for me was a stance adjustment and then came some different wheels and tires when it was time to replace the tires on it.

When I picked it up in St. Louis bone stock.

In '59 I thought the new Chevrolets were one of the ugliest cars I'd ever seen. I don't think that anymore.
'36 Fords are what this site is about. At least one '36 model can fill the bill in every hot rod or custom category here, and do it well. The last roadster, the last 3 window coupe.............full fender, fender-less, sleds, gassers, dry lakes....

In high school my best friend lived with his grandparents, an old Italian ranch couple tough as nails.. They had a silver '58 impala. It had a 348 and air bags. We used to take the compressor belt off and let the bags bleed down. It didn't sit real low but lower. One night a bag got pinched in a spring and was cut. We didn't get the use the '58 anymore, but escaped the ass kicking we expected.

  14. That '59 made me stop and stare. Absolute out of the park home run!

PERFECT stance - wonder how that front drop is achieved and the tire diameters front and rear?

Here’s our shop truck and our 36. Think they both have stance and maybe we have the 2nd baddest 36 on the planet B8B31F1A-1588-47E2-90C8-76ACB2BB4C16.jpeg BBCFD1FC-2D9C-40BD-9966-90DB23E9E5E8.jpeg

I'm pretty sure I posted the other two '40s but it doesn't appear that the beater panel ever made an appearance in the "Wheels n Stance" thread until now.

  23. That's where I always start, you have to set the stage for whatever you're going to build.

It was built about 2005, that is a louvered insert that sits on like a tack strip. built by rolling bones.

Man, I LOVE that color. I'm planning colors for my Model A roadster, and that looks like what I see the car wearing. Nice job.
