Went to the Carnival Car Show yesterday. Sweltering 105+ heat. Here are a few pics. The Drive Shoulda took more pics of this one. Those little thingsmake the difference. Cool Lincoln Modified w a Tractor Grill Augie's 53 Grinders You can view all of the pics here: http://50chevy.com/photos/carnival/ Didnt get any pics of the crashes, if you got em please post em.
Thanks for posting these Aaron...I have some too, but I need to re-size 'em. I just wanted to say that all the people who came to this show are bad-ass!! The Crasharama was nuts, the burnouts we're cool as hell...especially the guy in the '58 who blew a tire!...and the people who drove from San Jose, Reno, or even just Sac to sit and enjoy some heat-stroke together made it a great time. Bryan
That's funny! I took the hood off my '54 a couple weeks ago for fun (inspired by 51chevysled) and I'm running the same auto parts store radiator cap. Stant, I think. Ignoring the bad ass metal flake dash, that view looks very familiar!
Thanks for posting the pictures it was nice to meet you yesterday. I also want to take a second to thank everybody that showed up. And an extra thanks to those who were out to help. I think we put on a great show. Everything was cool except for the temperature. For those who didn't show up the only thing I've gotta say is sorry that you really missed out on Jumpin' Johnny, a crazy burnout contest, great bands, and some unbelievable trophies. If you didn't pick up one of Bruce Gossett's bitchen show poster I will be putting them on the H.A.M.B. classified. Thanks, Scott
nice pics 50chevy.i was gonna go yesterday but when the weather report said nearly 100 in oakland i knew roseville was out of the question.thanks for posting those...
Thanks Scott for putting this on. I know a lot of work went into the logistics of putting something like this together. Jumpin Johnny was great. Don't know which was hotter, the cars, the Crasharama, the women, or the temperature. Had a good time. The burnouts were bitchin, especially the crazy guy in the blue 58 wagon that went bustin through the barracades. Definately got some people scattering on that one. Gotta do it again next year, only maybe in October, and the poster is gonna get framed. Thanks 50chevy for the pics.
Thanks for puttin' on the show, Scott...I agree with Ratatat, I'm sure a ton of work went into this one. One thing that wasn't mentioned was the raffle prizes...holy shit, I can't believe the things that were raffled. We'll be there again next year, rain or shine Bryan
Your welcome, good seeing you there. Nice work on the 54. Thanks for mentioning the other cool stuff about the show, I forgot to mention.
Nice to meet you Scott. I agree excellent show except for the weather. The poster kicks ass, excellent job.
Really nice picutres, do you have anymore of the truck with the Hudson front end? Sorta need to do some homework
Aaron.....your site kicks ass man! You always have the best line up of pics! The HAMB and your site are the only things that keep me going when I need inspiration!!! The Florida scene sux as far as Im concerned and I hope people try to make it better but thats a hard thing to do with a lack of youngsters that we have compared to out west in the scene.......and availability of rustless parts....I think I watched my car rust right in front of me when I sanded it down for paint work!LOL! Anyhow keep postin man...I need it! And thanks for the shirts and videos...I dont need cable anymore just Hotrod Havoc and Mad Fabricators over and over again!!!!
wow the guy that bought my truck has really cleaned it up, im not too into what he did to the pipes or the fact the he replaced the generator but still looks alot nicer
Unfortunately I missed that, and the bike chain brake pedal in the green truck. I did get these... More on the way. Bryan
Thanks screw, although I'm mostly known for inspiring sawzall parties and drinking binges (sometimes at the same time)...I have the hood almost finished, but I'm not sure I'm gonna put it back on. Kinda getting used to this look:
It's cool to see all the pic's. I missed some of the cars. This kid that works for me got some video of the jumps and the burn out contest. So when I get it I will figure out how th put it on U Tube and let you all know. Thanks again Scott
BWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! the crazy guy in the 58....HAHAHAAHA!!!! i didn't get to see that shit... i was watching the gate but ride with rob on the city streets at 2:30... i do it often THEN YOU CAN CALL HIM CRAZY..... just call me stupid....
CLEANED IT UP A LIL??? right.... that thing was in no way roadwothy.... fucking deathbox when it hit our shop..... single shear mounts on front and rear split bones?? with 3" of dom on the outside of the frame not welded or anything.... nice sheetmetal work.... more like blaspamy... just my 2 pennies.... this is Donny Welch... i work for Scott, Rob, and Phil.... my best freind in the world Ben Nelson spent the last 2 weeks redoing that thing to make it "roadworthy"..... not to flame but what the hell..
