If anyone likes to mess around in SketchUp, I've created a 3D model of a stock Model A frame. Here's a render: PM me and I'll e-mail the skp file.
Cover it up with 3D sheetmetal/ch***is components...or print out 3D keychain ornaments or perhaps an 11" paperweight as it's totally scalable... @Ned Ludd deserves a high five on that accomplishment...
@Ned Ludd I've done 3D modeling and tried Sketchup and yeah you have mastered a level that should have you smiling ear to ear...I sure am...congrats and thanks for sharing your creation/inspiration...
I've also generated a '30-'31 firewall. More guesswork in this one, but the overall size and shape is pretty accurate.
That's fantastic...I congratulate your success with this...tell me are you using just the free version?
A variety of free versions. I seem to have settled on SketchUp 2014 as my optimum, though I've got others installed. I keep SketchUp 6 handy because it will import dwg files from AutoCAD: I use it pretty much only for that purpose. Both the renders were done on Kerkythea, which is quite powerful for freeware.
Ned, This is a never posted before photo of a local Hot Rod under construction, a channeled 1930-31 Ford Coupe build in the early 1960's. Bob
