  14. OK so I got this new stick and I haven't stirred anything lately.

Now I don't know much about raceing but from what I have read all the really sucessfull race car guys learned how to bend the rules without breaking the rules. Well all except Smokey who blatently ( sp) broke all the rules then made some others up just incase he missed any.

So if the quad is acceptable but the intake isn't why don't we figure out a way to get that ****** up here so I can cobble up an intake for it. granted not knowing a damned thing I have read in books that sometimes in the old days the guys that raced built some of those parts themselves, or thier friends built them for 'em.

    OK back to the bickering.

i really like the little car BTW.

  16. Factory Hyper-Pak 225's were available in 1960-63. You could even get them with an aluminum block! They were factory 4 brl motors with a small carter AFB carb rated at 195hp.

So how is this car not legal?

OK, Larry, here I am after all the posts have been made. I have no problem with the car and actually love it, one more slant to compete with.
If you take his four bbl. back, I'll find him another one!:D
I do have one question, what does it sound like coming out of six pipes?
Unfortunately, mine will not be ready this year, hopefully I will be able to attend, if not I will be pissed.

REJ, I can answer you question. The slant six sounded pretty sweet. After he does a little tuning on it he wont be so far behind me and I can hear it better.:D

Yes, it does sound sweet! As for the tuning? I have a long way to go. I have made a bunch of changes that will take some ironing out before mokan. I hope to get it on the street by my house this weekend, then a good couple of test and tunes at the track before mokan.

that roadster is very very cool!!! Those pipes sound great. I may be going to a collected exhaust at some point, but for now those pipes work pretty well. And the price was right.....free!:D:D:D
