56 Mrec frt drums/BPs on 50 Merc spindles?

Has anyone installed 56 Merc Hub/Drums and Backing plates and brakes on stock 50 Merc spindles? The 50 bolt pattern is 5 1/2 and 56 is 5 which is fine as I run early cad rims for the somberos (sp?) and wide whites on my full custom. HAMBrs should know this, we know everything else!!!
