I have a Stewart Warner 760 series tachometer that uses the puck that goes between the distributor cap and the distributor to drive it. I converted my distributor to an electronic ignition and cannot use the puck with it. I’ve been working with a very good engineer that has been able to develop The hardware and software to allow this tack to be used on almost any electrical system. This adapter is done and he is ready to test it on a running vehicle. My build is several months from being completed and he is looking for someone willing to do the beta testing for this product. Is there anyone out there that has one of these old tachometers that they would like to do the beta testing for this product on their running vehicle? Attached is a picture of the type of tachometer he is working on for me. If anyone is interested in doing this beta testing please let me know.
If you can't find anyone closer to you to help with your testing, I have a low rev one of those tachs that I could probably hook up to my OT '79 Ford pickup. Would your software be able to be adjusted to a different RPM range gauge? What all does the hookup entail? Did your old "puck" come off that 354 or is it for something else?
That's super cool and awesome as I have a half a dozen of them tachometers. If you need someone to beta this I would be a tester and buyer . I have a few of the pucks as well .
