Hot Rods Tired of homogenized hotrods

Man I don't get out much......the Hamb Team always delivers though...

Darn Instagram I used to be able to look at it as much as I want, now I scroll down a few lines and popup login ruins my day...

 

Any info on this? Possible from Europe?

...Hamber @bavarian_Tom is restoring this early 50s Hotrod/Custom formerly rediscovered by another Hamber some time ago...these are shots Tom acquired by a relative of the original builder of this uniquely attractive ride...

The interesting thing about these shots were it actually looks alot like its 2nd rebuild after changing ownership as the fenders were lost among other things...

@Stogy that looks like a car I recall seeing on the cover of one of the little magazines. I'll see what I can find.

This is the first gen build by Mike Lopez early 50s...Mike also did run this Roadster fenderless as the historical pics show...

It's Jethro Clare's. Son of Dan Clare who loves building all sorts of Ford based specials.
There's an article about Dan in Hopup 15.

 

its not a hot rod. It’s from the movie ‘My Reputation’ 1946. This roadster is full of probably 12-14 year old kids (if that old)!driving off down the road with the parents blessings.
I guess that is the non-homogenized part.

...Beater...in style...for the moment...shared in a series of Threads by Ryan of one Bob Roddick's Hotrods... a man who had done the Hotrod walk in a big and impressive way...

Looks like possible cowl steering or Antenna holes, the windshield posts and door handles were just removed and recently filled...The windshield looks to have aviation or boat origins or at a minimum inspiration by...Chriscraft (boat) was mentioned by Ryan...

This Hotrodder did some pretty adventurous stuff...
