I just happened to look up a book for someone that was inquiring about it... "The Complete Chrysler Hemi", by Ron Ceridono. It's part of the Tex Smith series of books and a book that I consider to be one of the best books to own for the Early Mopar Hemi enthusiasts.

What I found was that it appears to be out of print. I looked this book up about 6 months ago (IF EVEN THAT long ago) and all was normal. Now the prices are through the roof and everyone is on back order with no guarantees that it would be available.

I tried calling Hot Rod Library, Inc. and I only get a message that says "You have reached the office of Ron Ceridono, please leave a message". I never get a human.

Is this book dead?? What a shame, if it is! If anyone has some info, please p*** it along.

    Thanks!
    Scott

I have a good copy that I would be willing to sell. What are they going for? I sold off all my hemi stuff so I have no need for it.

There are a few on Ebay, and some of them are going for BIG MONEY. If you do a search online you will see places advertising them for $14 or $18. They are buying direct from manufacturer and don't worry about rather or not the book is actually out of print. So the problem is, the book never comes after a month and they refund you the money. PITA!

I don't need one. I have one. But it's a book that I recommend to a lot of people and if it's going to be out of print I hope that someone steps up and takes over, or something.

GOOD NEWS!!! I got through to Hot Rod Library and talked to Ron. The book is NOT out of print and WILL be coming back!! WOOHOO!! Just out of stock at the moment and he mentioned that he would like to even update the book at some point.

So for those of you thinking of buying the book on Ebay for stupid prices, DON'T! The cover cost is $22.95 and it will be returning to the shelves in the very near future!

    Just a heads up...

    Hello,

This is a very old post, I know.
I was wondering if you have the Hemi book yet. I have a '55 Chrysler 300 and I'd like to buy a copy. Let me know.

    Thanks,

...well...the current prices (on a quick browser search) are bat-**** crazy. Have you tied to contact Ron?
No, I haven't talked with Ron in many years, in fact I did not know he moved to The Peoples Republic of Oregon.
Next time I get to the coast I'll ask about a revised edition unless someone else does it first.;)

Ron is active on Facebook. You might try messaging him there. Great guy to deal with. If not available, you might try Brian Brennan. For years those two went everywhere together. I used to call them the unidentical twins. I have Ron's book and have no plans to get rid of it. I told Ron one time how much I enjoyed the book and how much I learned from it. He replied that he learned so much more, after it was published, that he was thinking of making a second edition.

Since this thread has been sitting for awhile, thought I’d provide a little current info. Apparently Hot Heads does still carry Ceridono’s Hemi book. Spoke to Eric on the phone today. They are out of stock currently, but will likely have them again in the near future. For whatever reason, Ron Ceridono only prints a large batch periodically and it sounds like Hot Heads is about the only one he provides them to. Eric recommended periodically checking the Hot Heads Home page for a notification as to when they have them back in stock. He said they had copies as recent as a month ago. This is an old dead thread, but I'm bringing it back up rather than starting a new one so the past comments can be seen. Has anyone actually spoken to the author, Ron Ceridono, to see if any more of these books will be printed? They're currently going for $350+ on the used market and that's just nuts. Does anyone have any info or contact with Ron to see what the story is?
