I have to give a thank you to Ryan at Howell's Antique Auto Parts. I ordered a part for my 27 roadster and received it in record time Wow like four days.

That's the exception not the rule. Maybe they have turned the corner with customer service?

I think all the Howell/Brookville metal is stamped from a Shay not a Ford.

Any evidence, or even hearsay to support that ?

Is this the same place as Howell's sheet metal out of Texas?

I have ordered from Howell's in the past and never had any issue with them.

If my memory is correct a couple years Howell's had a extensive booth with lots of patch panels and parts at the NSRA Louisville nats. Much of what I looked at was I thought good quality. But what do I know?

I have no personal history, but, in general, the problem seems to be not with the product, but rather with taking orders and not shipping the product, not answering customer inquiries and not addressing customer complaints.

I've had a bad experience with them before but I have to give credit where credit is due.
