    All,

I was introduced to the forum a few months back by a fellow car junkie in the neighborhood and have been cruising the sale adds since. I have been a slacker and had not registered. Newly registered, a little about me....

I am 32 years old and have been in the sunny south (North Carolina) for seven years now. I was raised in PA where I was introduced to all things loud and fast by my uncle. My uncle would take me everywhere he and his friends went (being able to walk was the only requirement), this was usually to the junkyard where he worked looking for parts or cruising the old cars neglected in the blackberries searching for unique old glass lights and emblems or at a friends house lending a hand with their project.

He helped me purchase and begin work on my first car at just 13, a 67 Dodge Coronet. After many late nights and generous amounts of grease in hard to reach places our time together was ended when he moved west.

My car was put on the back burner as I elected for a tour in the USAF as an alternative to college.............Fast forward 10 years..............I decided that college wasn't such a bad idea after all and met and married my wife after moving to NC.

Thankfully for me I married an understanding woman, and I have been making up for lot time. I have owned several cars over the past years, but for the past year I have been driving a 65 Dodge Coronet that I rescued from a local junkyard two years ago. It had been waiting on me since it was parked in 1983. It is lettered like a 60's era super stock car, its flat black and my friends and I are planning on spraying some chunky silver flake on the roof and finish the hand lettering this month. I run a set of period torque thrusts up front and a fat set of steelies with wide whites out back. The factory stickshift car is alot of fun to drive and the rumble of the big block makes people turn to see what is making such a racket.

I recently purchased two old Chrysler Hemi's with the intentions of finding a mid 20's to late 30's Dodge or Plymouth truck to tuck one of them into for my next project. Any help on this front is appreciated.

Everyone has there favorites and mine are the MoPar's, but I appreciate them all.

Right on, guess we're not in RI. I'm in a small town called Willow Spring about 20 miles south of Raleigh. I'm not a member of any local clubs but have a few buddies who started the Vendettas club in Raleigh.
