I parted out a 57 Fairlane. here is the link https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum...s-and-large-body-parts.1210739/#post-13865784 I have the rear quarters. Catwalk. Trunk. Trunk floor and front floors. I need the room. no shipping unless you are tell me where to drop it off. Or I’m just dropping it off locally.
I’m in L.A. too and am starting the bodywork on my wife’s 57 wagon. Looking for the windshield outer stainless trim for it. I know the 2 door Fairlane’s from your part out won’t work but wondering if you (or anyone reading this) knew of any local sources for it. Thanks.
It seems there is a guy in 29 Palms with all the 57-59 Ford parts. Try a wanted ad on the 57Forever.com forum. It not all spammy like the Hamb. I found some hard to find molding for a good price. The other lead would be try eBay seller forthebeachonly he has a couple of 57-58 rancheros. The front trim should be the same. Just ask a question on one of his parts of use the contact seller. actually he has it listed. https://www.ebay.com/itm/114590154620 I would make a list of other parts you need and see if you can work out deal to save on shipping. I ordered ball long *** trim from him ask it was well worth it. Good packing.
Is the '57 Ranchero windshield trim the same as the station wagon? I have a Ranchero with the windshield trim still on it. I'm a long way from LA, though.
Abe, that’s a great find, thank you. He doesn’t say which model it’s from so I wrote him last night to figure out which model that trim fits. I included a list of other trim parts I need, hopefully I can get it all from him. I’m stuck at home these days so I’d even consider making the 2 1/2 hour drive to pick through his yard. 40cpe, I’m not 100% sure but I think Ranchero windshield trim would fit the wagon. They both use the same windshield part number. If it doesn’t work out with the guy Abe referred me to yesterday I’d be interested in your trim if you’d be willing to ship.
I sold the from the parts car I had a week or so ago. A guy came and bought the roof doors and trim for his chop job on a Ranchero. The trim was about 1-2” lower than nom Fairlane models. Please take pics of the cars that match the groups for all of us. also try the 57forever board.
'57 Customs, Rancheros, and wagons should all be the same @ the windshield. The Fairlanes are an inch shorter as Abe mentioned. I believe the Fairlane retracs, and maybe converts., are a little different than hardtops, but I'm not sure where.
