I want to lower the chassis in my’30 Roadster. Front has a 4” drop. Is a the arch in a ‘36 rear spring tall enough to allow enough clearance for a banjo diff or a Halibrand rear without modifying the frame?

I believe it will move your rear end forward due to the shape of the spring , if your running fenders things are not going to line up.

  3. Doubt it. The 36 If I recall right was mounted behind the diff. It fits a crossmember thats much flatter, and down in the center. It wont fit the A rear crossmember which is very raised in the center. The A spring is over the axle. You could remove a leaf, and reverse the spring eyes to get it down a couple inches.

Using a T spring in the rear will lower it about 4"
