Hot Rods Will a '40 Ford front clip work on a '41??

Figured I would ask the experts. Looking at a '41 coupe without a front clip, looks like body parts are pretty scarce for these. Could a '40 clip be made to work? I know there were a lot of differences between '40-'41, didn't know if things just got "tweaked" up front or if it was completely different?

 

I could be wrong but the '41 was the first in the line that ended in '48 so I don't think the '40 front clip would work.

 

1941 frame is one year only

 

probably lots of people here who if paid a good wage could make a 40 clip work on a 41. it would most likely look goofy, and the first comment from everyone who saw it would be "what made you think that was a good idea?"

that's how I got it figured anyways.

 

The 41 nose fit just about perfect on my 46. 41 noses are out there. Don't believe they are narrow enough in cowl area.

 

How about putting a 46 front clip on your 41?

 

Friend put a '48 clip on his '41.
Had to finagle the frame mount some but it did bolt up and looks very good.

Ghe entire car was redesigned. Cabin, frame. Suspension. Nothing is directly interchangeable with a 40

41, 42 [rare], 46, 47, and 48 share a common body. 40 is different body altogether.
