Any ideas on what I could use to re-skin the back of my 37 GMC cab? Car roof? I can't find any place that will work on it. Everybody wants to do full restoration work. I just had everything acid dipped and epoxy primed.

What all do you need? The 37 Chevy cab is the same. They aren't all over the place, but they can still be found.

Any car roof can be used as long as it overlaps it.

I’m running into a similar problem myself!

With pictures of the damage we could likely offer some good advice.

I made a skin from the belt line down for a 39 from new sheet metal. It was easy.

  8. Did you consider a good sheet metal shop ? Years ago I had the back of a 1936 Willys pickup cab made. They rolled the sides, and put a flange along the bottom. I let them use my rusted out Willys pickup cab as a sample.

Make some templates of the back of the cab and head to the 'pick & pull'.
