does anyone know how to remove the trunk lift handle from a 49 ford car? i have the ***em off the trunk lid. cant find anything in the shop manual... thanks for any help
Maybe it's bolted in or has a big C clip. If you look in a after market catalog on line - like Dennis Carpenter's you might get it from the pictures.....good luck ! Lately I've been taking my phone - sticking it inside a door and trying to take pictures in side doors I'm trying to get everything out of....helps sometimes.
The R D swing down handle has a large nut retaining it in the center ***embly. Under the nut is a C-clip.... Look up photos... Study it... Take photos...
i bought an nos trunk handle off ebay and the threaded part that the big nut go on comes with the handle ***em. on my old one i took the c clip off you are talking about and pieces went flying and the threaded part didnt come out with it so i dont think thats the way they come apart. but thanks for help , tony
