I have stacks and stacks of them. I keep buying them and sometimes I already have them, so I end up with multiples. I saw Jeff Norwell had an old magazine rotary rack that he puts his on. A friend bought a used file cabinet to organize his.

    What are you guys doing?

  2. I have not done it yet, but in the works. An eight foot long bookcase with 3 shelves (counting base). Rubbermaid makes a piece that goes into the center of magazine so you can put it into a 3 ring binder without any damage to magazine.
I intend to enter make of mags and dates on spine of binder. Probably hold a years worth in a 2 inch binder.
Online or in Office Depot they are called Rubbermaid 3 hole magazine insert holders. 12 in a package for about $4.25

If I’m lucky enough to have a photo of one our cars, usually Bonneville or El Mirage coverage, I keep it. I’ve either thrown them all away or strategically left them in doctors or dentist offices in the past. At a swap meet once I sold 10 years of Street Rodder in a box for $2.00. I’ve kept every issue of my subscription to the 12 Port News put out by the Inliners International.

I've got a bookcase full of old mags. Mostly Hot Rod from about 1977, some Rod and Custom [last run] and Street Rodder. Been thinking about just chunking them, I never look at them anymore.

  17. I wish I was in Michigan ( Florida snowbird ) I would take a picture ... I shop box lumber stores and in plumbing/ electrical stuff come in cardboard boxes that resemble the plastic parts bins . I forget what comes in the “”magazine sized “ box . Move parts to another box neatly ..

Mine (going back to the 60's) are in the attic and front hall. I said when I was retired I would go thru them, That was 10+ years ago. Probably go to the local land fill when I p***.

Thanks Mark, for some of your ideas. I have quite a collection, mostly in boxes. I have
a couple of bookcases for the small mags, the 25 cent ones. How far back do you go. I
may have Honk, or Hop Up.
    Again, thanks for your input.

I am amazed at some of your collections. I love the magazines from the late 50s through the early 60s. My dad had alot of the old HOT ROD mags and Corvair related material.
I have a small collection that I'm working on but I have a long way to go.
I really love the cover layout on the old HOT ROD mags.
No wonder we love are rides!!

Sorry that ramble was a little OT.
I store mine in wood Port crates. Works great
The special ones are in sleeves.
Sorry guys, just got excited about the old mags. Brings back alot of great memories and dreams of rides that would some day be mine.

I have a bedroom closet stacked to the ceiling with red plastic coke crates, I have several shelves that I am embarr***ed to show since our daughter &granddaughter moved in and every thing got piled in my private space.

Some magazines are in binders others are in office supply magazine holders while others are stacked in the corner.

A friend of mine has been using tide washing detergent boxes with the sides cut to hold the magazines upright and on the plus side they smell good instead of old musty magazine small.

Don't tell anyone but my daughter has used the free boxes from the post office to cut and make magazine holders. HRP

I was given boxes of them by a old school hot rod guy who’s car was in magazines in the 60s. They are still musty smelling so I keep them in the attic
