Need to know where to get the cast iron club plaques. I found one place but you have to order so many of them and we don't have that many members yet. Plus i would like to have some positive feed back on a place before i order blind. Thanks in advance Big Tony Forget Cookies and milk... Give me ***ties and beer
Two words O'BRIEN TRUCKERS Great to deal with. Had no problems, even from half way around the world, and the product delivered was great.
They usually only do alluminum, I emailed to ask if they would do ***anium or steel. I like dragging mine.
Obrien Truckers did some for me. I could not have been more pleased with the service or product. Mine are aluminum though, not cast iron as you post requests.
I have a buddy that i can make them i dont know about the cast iorn. i can ask him tonight i know he can do alum.and zinc and stainles.
Well O'briens is who I called and they are cast aluminum, at least now i have some good feed back. Thanks Big Tony
Yeah they said they could add one some magnesium for sparkage but it's all aluminum. They cast em so it isn't like I can request them to use another metal, although I already did because I had my head up my ***. I thought they CNC'd em but guess not.
I would think that you could take the aluminum plaque and attach it to a steel or ***anium plate that is slightly longer on the bottom so that the steel would hit the pavement for sparks. You would need to check the clearance occasionally and replace as necessary to avoid ruining the aluminum plaque. Jim Winter The Hot Rod Grille www.wvpinball.com
O"BRIEN TRUCKERS IS YOUR BEST BET. ORDER EXTRA SO YOU AHVE EM WHEN THE CLUB GROWS. DO LIKE WE DID CHARGE 20 BUCKS FOR THE PLAQUE YOU GET THE MONEY BACK.
For a small club or just because,if one guy is a good welder and artist or other member is for layout. You get some 1/8in. or 1/4 in. plate steel and weld that name on,makes a high spot that then gets sanded down just enough to show name as a flat razed name, can be painted background and shiney name or what ever. Or get a sheet metalshop with CNC cutter to cut out tin name & art work to tack on a plate. Some clubs, like ours had artist in club just paint plaques for each member, not all hotrod plaques were cast. The Bat Miami Fl 50's/60's rodder
