does anyone make a alternator bracket for a 1960 caddy engine with headers

  2. If you have a drill, welder, hacksaw and some steel strip it shouldn't be hard to make one yourself or can you modify a later caddy alternator bracket to fit?, I assume the stock 1960 bracketry is for a generator that hangs off the exhaust manifold so is not there when using your headers.........is there any spare bolt holes on the intake, heads or off the header mount flange?........I made this one yrs ago using a couple of spare bolt bosses on the intake witha piece that attaches to the front of the head.......works fine................andyd

I fabbed up a mount where my fuel pump was. I don’t have a picture of the mount but it is a simple plate and the alternator is for a Flathead with a built in mount. [IMG]

I've been thinking about a bracket as well. Like to keep it in the stock location. What I've been told, the 390/365/331 share the same or a similar bracket.

I don't know but id mock one up from cardboard or plastic and then get to welding and grinding one into existence!

Not the best picture, but I made my own bracket for a Ford generator on top. I think you're going to have to make something one way or another. 20200620_163543.jpg
