    I guess I'm missing something here. The article says it has a "hefty 296" T bird motor. I guess it could be a bored out 292 but, didn't the T bird come with a 312 in those days? :confused: Anyway, that's a nice pick up. :) Makes me want to go back to the farm and get that 30 Ford pickup. Humm.......;)

    Edit: I don't know guys, take a close look at the cowl. Looks different from here.

    godforbid! its got a 1977 rear in it! it is not period perfect therefore it is junk! :rolleyes: (actually, those are not my feelings at all, but im sure some of the "period purists" are thinking that)

    haha, actually i think that truck is killer. it is totally perfect. i wonder if the builder is still mad at his bro for keeping him from buying the original one. i think its cooler that he built this one on his own. im also diggin those front fenders.

  10. I'm drooling over that Y-block. Love em myself, but then again I been a Ford man since forever. sbc's are the work of the devil.

    I first seen this pickup about 3 yrs. ago cruisin' the Lima.Oh. Fairgrounds for the Rebel Run..Like blktop said...It sounds sooo good !!!...When I finally found it parked I was there for a long time cause I just couldn't take my eyes of it...I like it just the way it is...The only thing I'd want to change is the ***le into my name !!

  15. Brush;
    Back in the '50's, there was a chopped duece pickup with a Hemi in it, in Hamilton, Ontario. It was built by a guy named Watson. Jerry?
    I wonder whatever became of it....

  18. I think the '55 T-Birds were 292's. Pretty sure the first year for 312's was '56.
