Any splines or a keyway ? Looks like an unfinished repop ...

I don’t know anything about it. I’m looking for one locally and this one is for sale, but the seller doesn’t know anything about it either.

I found this similar one online. The guy posting doesn’t know his origins either. But they are both ‘supposedly’ antiques.

  5. There appears to be a part number on the inside of the wheel hub.

If it has splines and a taper key it will be a GM type product. A taper with key is a ford product , what does this wheel have?

20201207_133418.jpg 20201207_133357.jpg It's not an early GM as they have taper and key way and two holes thru the hub for horn rods - no splines. Also the back side of the hub is extended to fit into the column not inset like the OPs. This is a 35/36 Chevy banjo or what's left of it, for reference. My guess would be a modern style repo of sorts. Mitch

It’s starting to look like that’s what it is. The hub is not like anything vintage I can find.

Since we’re on the topic of identifying banjo wheels, how about this one? I “think” it’s 38-39. Either way, I need a horn ****on for it.
    Thanks

Don't forget, they were issued on early Beetles, some MG

Banjo wheels also came on later English Fords. In my experience, when you find an unidentifiable banjo, that's what it is.
