Hi! I recently purchased the Slick Vic. It was sectioned and customized 1957/58 by Don Kilby and Paul Osmond, and later top-chopped by Dick Dean in the early 70s I think. I have a couple of magazines, but would appriciate all history and info/pics about shows and magazines it has attended. it was owned by Rich Pichette in the 80s, and then Doug Hall, Rocky Burris and Dave Pareso before me. Pics from early version and the later purple version of today.
Interesting car. I really like sectioned un-chopped shoebox coupes but it doesn't seem to work quite as well on a Victoria. I hope you find some history on the car, because it looks like an important '60's custom.
That car morphed though a lot of changes over the years some big and some not so big. I think the blue version showed up in one of those Trend custom car annuals that you bought for 75 Cents back in the early 60's. I used to have a batch of those books but think that they have been ruined where I had them stored.
You might want to try posting over on the Custom Car Chronicle site or Kustomrama site as well. If you haven't already. Nice car. Great that it's still around. Torchie
