Technical Drive shaft length

    One important note that hasn't been mentioned. The drive shaft length measurement has to be Made with the rear end at normal ride height.

    We bottom the yoke in the trans and then measure center to to the u-joints at ride height. We generally have the drive shaft made 3/4" shorter. Sometimes we will go to 1" depending on what style the rear suspension is due to with the rear end hanging, it can be difficult to get the u-joints in the pinion yoke.

    We will also measure center to center with the rear suspension fully extended to make sure our final drive shaft length won't allow the yoke to bottom out in the trans. Most stock suspension and ride heights this is not an issue, but when things get modified, that can cause problems.

    Thanks , I do have it setting at ride level with weight on axles
