Guys, I've got a 50s Studebaker I've updated with disc/drum brakes and a frame mounted dual master cylinder. I'd like a little help on the front discs and since I don't have power steering, a hydroboost is not going to work for me.
Can anyone recommend a hydrovac part number? I see Summit sells a bunch of different Cardone units and I'm totally corn-fused on one to get.
    Thanks!

Some P30 step vans had Hydroboost brakes, and MANUAL steering. I have a friend with one. I believe it is a 1975 model. It has a power steering pump, that only drives the booster.

  4. You don’t have to have power steering.
    Just a pump.
Plumb the hydroboost with the steering box pressure line as a 2nd return.
I tossed my frame mounted hydrovac for a hydroboost set up.

Does anyone have pictures of how this would be set up or what part number? Looking to do the same and dont have the room for a booster at the moment without changing a lot.

The 55-57 Thunderbirds used a remote mount vacuum booster for power brakes. The "front disc conversions" sold by the Thunderbird suppliers use those only on the front disc. It works, probably not perfect (I've had them, there's probably hundreds of them out there), but works. Some kits come with different rear cylinders to balance the pressure.

Something along those lines might be the answer. You might look into those. Just how you engineer and balance it will probably be up to you.

This is the company I've used. Hill's in Ohio is closer to you and well regarded.
