I don't believe they made any 4dr sedan Starliners. :p yes I know you're talking about the pink/red one, not the white one above

You looking for one, Matt? I do know of one, it is kinda rotten though. I also know where there's a '61 but it is pretty much picked clean - it's in a junkyard.

I live in the wrong part of the country :(

Even if they aren't for sale @ least I could have the luxury of looking @ them and having a Farmer chase me away.

I want that P/U door - seems like it was in someone's garage??? how did you get a pic of that?

The '34 Dodge Mor-Dor is pretty nice two - the wheels in my head are turning.

Here's Hutmans stuff. I vote for a pickup conversion. Car haulers don't get used enough.

  5. Here's some photos a lot closer to you. I don't usually take big group shots of the cars, and they're a couple years old, but if anything there's more cars at this place now. You'll see as summer gets on they kind of dissapear into the grass, though. There's one odd shot of another place, the kind of grainy one, too.

I was going to save this for last because it's the best junker in the whole town, but I couldn't wait. It's not for sale at this time but the "Lady of the House" likes me. Something could develop, not with her, with the '39 Deluxe, you never know.

Hey Mika- I'm in dire need of a right side exhaust manifold for my '66 Lincoln. Think this place could hook me up?

There's lots and lots of old trucks in Texas and Oklahoma. Have I posted this pic yet? Shave the hood and this GMC would look better than any Chevy!

  13. I recently found this channeled 30/31 roadster when I was house hunting. I was looking at a home and took a look at what kind of neighbors where on each side, I was happy to find a roadster windshield stantion poking out of a mountain of junk in the neighbors car port. He's had it 5 years and not touched it, car hasn't been driven since '76 but he's not ready to sell it yet. Yes that is gennie deuce shell leaning in the background. [IMG]

  14. This one classifys as good junk, same trip we hiked in about an hour off the highway to check this one out for all of it's WW2 bomber features and it didn't let me down. It went down at 11pm feb 10 1943 with a crew of 11 on board whom survived, after the crash the AF went down and stripped it of all electronics, dropped the engines and exploded all of the bombs which where on board just down the hill from the wreck which created a HUGE divot that is now a pond. Vancouver Island will NEVER let you down when it comes to tin hunting. [IMG]

The doors on those are interchangable right? I have these really sweet doors to put a tri-five chevy truck. I know it is backwards to have doors and no truck, but you have to start a project somehow! Have any idea on a price on that fine piece?

  16. Tri-5 Chevys turn up here pretty regular. I even know where there is a GMC that came originally with a Hydramatic. And there is a 55-59 at a new U-pull-it east of Syracuse with a load of bycycles on the back, I can't tell from a glance at 75 MPH through the cars around this rig any closer on the year.

I do believe that the doors and many other parts are interchangable with the Chevy/GMC pickups.I don't believe that that GMC in my pic is for sale, but I'll ask when I get a chance. Here's one for you Tri-five Chevy car lovers.

There's old Tin everywhere. I followed up a lead this past weekend and came home with a complete, no rust, no dents 29 Ford roadster. I'll be the 4th registered owner when I get done at MVD on Friday. Hope to have it running again by Sunday night. Sure, I know you want pictures.........I'll try to figure out the digital camera thing this weekend, too.

you know i remember when the state i just moved from was like that... in one year i told some friends from so-cal about it, and it seemed like all of a sudden they started bring their buddies up and everytime the trailers left fuller, and fuller, and were longer and longer...

sad to say that about 7 years later, is seems like there wasn't ANYTHING within a 20 mile radius... much less 2 hours.

if i was you i wouldn't go blabbing about your hotspots... if you got parts 20 miles and closer... put the hush on em... leave'em for your kids or future projects... resources like those are rare... even in TX...

    that's my $.02

  22. Yep that $.02, sounds a lot like the gold chainers that want a finders fee for passing on the location of anything anyone may ever be interested in. How many you personally planning on saving? Then go get them, shit or pull your pants up and move on. Keep the locations all to yourself, and you can sit back and rub your hands together like the other hoarders who are going let em all rust into the ground before you could ever get to half of them.

I on the other hand, think passing on the locations of vintage tin helps get it back on the road. Paying it forward, in hopes the karma will come back around. I hope it never comes to me needing one last part to finish off my project and have to rely on some guy who knows where it is but would rather it rot.... thats just my $.01

I don't have any kids. I don't have any relatives at all that are worthy. I have two completed hot rods and one in progress, more than I will ever need. All of my hot rod friends have more projects than they can afford and may never even finish what they have. I would rather see the "resources" find a good home, even in California, than see them sit and rot. So...here's one of the other Tri-fives that sit and wait.

No I don't, but I know who does. I'm not sure if any of his stuff is for sale. PM me if you're really interested. I don't want to bother the guy any more than necessary. No tire kickers please! Here's some of my junk. Not for sale.

Look waaay in the distance. There's a '57 Chevy wagon and about an acre of other stuff. They say that the old man died and the kids are flaky. It will all probably go to the crusher eventually, or rot where it is.

The car has been there for years on 369. The wheels you shot are the same, in that they have been there for years as well. I met the owner at the Wichita A's club when I was in it.

I worked at Allred prison as a nurse, and they do have air conditioning, at least in Building 10 and some admin areas. (I deleted the rest of the crap about Allred I had previously ranted about in this thread, since you mentioned the prison, as it ain't important to old cars in the area).

There is lots of stuff out on the farm roads near Wichita Falls. My '42 Chevy coupe, when I had it, used to sit near the road in Iowa Park. You just gotta' have an eye for spotting it all. The airport road used to have a bunch of stuff, the Archer city highway had some stuff, and the wrecking yards there had quite a few older cars.
