the 56 does not look right with the**** in the air and a continental kit.other than that like the merc trim old school cool
Yup, and I don't like the chop. It makes the car look flattened. IMO chops are for roofs that have vertical pillars or nearly so.
Agreed,a chop on these 52-54 Fords makes the lower body appear too large in comparison to the top if the lower body were sectioned 3" to 4" to match they would be more in proportion.
When you like the stock broadcloth of a 56 Peacock and white Victoria interior but not the design; you just need to step for the material and make it a 55 Sunliner.
Maybe not “Pic of the Night” worthy, but a pic I took last night when I found this 54 in my father-in-laws driveway as I drove by... I obviously had to stop and ask questions finding out it was the neighbors’ cousins’ in the other half of the duplex and has been in their family since new. Still had the original y-block and 3-speed on the column. Clean car overall! Other than the white letter tires standing out, a nice survivor and a pic that could have easily been taken 60 years ago.

Many of those driveways were sloped, so some had steps in the middle instead of grass growing between the tire tracks. Your picture brought back memories, so I drove down their old street yesterday. Some of the houses in that neighborhhood still have those driveways!
