Has anyone installed a S10 seat in a 1936 ford truck? I am planning to incorporate the existing riser. Would love to see how others have adapted the existing riser for the s10 seat. Or have you eliminated the riser? thoughts?
I used one of "those" seats in my 36 Chevy truck, made my own riser as the original was gone. I trimmed the front sides and foam down to match the angle of the cab. It came from a brand new eightys truck that had been donated to the high school so the foam wasn't all worn out. Not very good pictures I know, hope it helps. Mitch
Use a 3rd row seat from a 90's dodge caravan, remove the riser, make your own legs, perfect fit and actually very comfortable. Its what I used in my 36.
Just so I understand...I've seen multiple dozens (maybe 100's) of posts about 90's Dodge caravan seats in roadsters, coupes and trucks...with no "traditional police" type comments...but S10 should be removed??? Sometimes I guess I just don't get it.
Thanks for the responses and pictures. A cool truck and a pretty girl means that trollst is winning in the game of life I was trying to somewhat stay true to the truck but keeping the riser makes no sense. Mounting straight to the floor is the way to go.
