I don’t know what kind of stuff you’re into but this brings to mind this product by the name of Belzona that we had on our boat. Tough JB Weld-esque epoxy. Expensive as all get-out, but it always worked.

Knowing the type of plastic helps but I’ve found that even when I didn’t know the type of plastic that I had good results melting it and joining it.
It can help when you don’t know the type of plastic to have an extra part that you can cut strips out of to use as a sort of filler rod.
But even without that I’ve had good results using the plastic rod’s that come with the hot air plastic welding kits.

When I was a young lad, I was mowing gr*** for a summer job. Met a girl in a bar and she asked what I did for a living. I told her I was in horticulture. She said "Cool! What area? I'm a horticulture major at Michigan State!"

    Damnit.

I tried JB weld plastic adh. on some plastic and it didn't do much of anything. It sort of stuck to the plastic but didn't really fuse the plastic together
