ryan please sticky this for fellow hambers.... I recently purchased a set of wheels from AKH WHEELS in WASHINGTON. the first time the bolt pattern was wrong, he told me how to measure it. he returned those wheels for me to send me a set of wheels that are too small for my car that he insisted fit my car. stock comes with 15" he ***ured me 14" will fit. guess what i called him to notify him and he hung up on me after i explained they dont fit. i repeatedly called back both of his phone numbers to be told by other people that i misdialed. how does redial misdial a number. repeatedly no answer for about ten minutes. PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS FRAUD HE WILL RIP YOU OFF. LEARN FROM ME. I AM STUCK WITH A THOUSAND DOLLAR SET OF PARNELLI JONES DOORSTOPS!!!!!!!

****oli, I know you PM'ed me about my experiences with the guy. Really sorry to hear about that. Like I told you, I didn't have any problems. He was at the Arlington Nostalgia Drags last year. If he's there again I can talk to him if you want. He's on the other side of the state, otherwise I'd pay a visit.
Were you irate or yelling at him? What is your next step?

i was as calm as could be. i tried to explain my case and about half way through it the other end was silent.so he hung up sometime as i was pleading that i just wanted the situation fixed if he could help me out. the last thing he told me was to buy 1/2" spacers. i called around here in phoenix to 3 different tire shops and 2 of them told me 1/2" spacers is too much. one guy said no more than 1/4". the 3rd guy just refered me to one of the others. i dont think the guy at akh knows his stuff. first he told me how to measure that came up wrong and insisted that 14" will fit my car even though i didn't want 14". i have brand new tires on my 15" stock rims what would make one think that i want to spend more money on 14" tires when i could just swap out my 15" tires? i am frustrated with this guy and if anyone buys from him be sure you like comet go in person and pick out what you want dont rely on this *****s knowledge. good luck but remember i warned you

I'd send him a certified letter stating you want a full refund or legal action will be taken to resolve the situation. If you have any lawyer buddies that owe you a favor, have them write something up on their letterhead. It really ****s that he won't even talk to you now. Not a good sign that he wants to deal with you in good faith.

Sounds like lawsuit time. I would call him a few more times and give him a chance to fix it if he does the same old hang up the phone sue his ***.

Since we've been on the topic of the HAMB Mafia lately... maybe a reminder is in order of bad feedback presented on the HAMB... a worldwide forum 15,000+ members deep that are concerned about how they spend their money and with whome... Maybe that will be enough. Maybe linking him to this thread in an email to introduce him to the HAMB and the feedback would be persuasion enough.

Hope you get your situation resolved. The BBB may also want to know about it.

If you paid with a credit card, call your bank and have them do a charge back. That will get his attention.

I don't know much about wheels, but could you fabricate adapter plates to match up the bolt patterns?

I can't figure out why anyone would accept 14" wheels when they need 15" wheels. How hard is it to figure out what bolt pattern you need. Hell, buy a plastic tool if you can't use a tape measure.

I sometimes think it is the wal-mart "return everything you buy" at***ude that just doesn't translate well when dealing with car parts.

Just ship the wheels back, and cancel your credit card charge. Move on.

Be care how you proceed. If you try to cancel the credit card charge and you keep the wheels....it's called stealing (and probably some other stuff).

i did not use a credit card. cashiers check and the money is already in his possession. the first set of wheels i returned at my expense. the second set came $50 c.o.d. i checked bbb and he is not registered. i called both of his phone number simultaniously and no answer except for a lady on one number saying i misdialed and his son saying the same on the other number, kinda hard to do with redial. aint got a lawyer friend and that is why i am letting my misfortune lead to you not doing business with him. what would happen if he says "yeah just return the wheels and i will give you full refund", what guarentee do i have after this that he gives me back a penny? this guy is a fruad and if he wants to take me to court for slander then that would be great cause by then i am sure there is got to be a lawyer on here that might want to make a little money off of a s*** like this. i see in no way besides trusting this guy on the measurements that i am in the wrong. sorry not everyone knows how to measure bolt pattern and some people trust others too much. just use my experiance with AKH WHEELS as your own and put this guy out of business

  21. Return the wheels with tracking and signature confirmation.
Request a full refund but don't be surprised if it's less a restocking fee.

I had to return some **** to national chevy when they sent and charged me for duplicate orders. They charged me a 25% restocking fee! Only time they ever pissed me off. It ****ed but I still buy from them.

You need to return them before you can expect a refund.

Just don't fall for a "they got lost in the mail" story line.

so what do you want? To keep the wheels and get some kind of compensation?? doesn't sound quite right to me.

You "originally" ordered/bought 14" rims.... but really wanted 15"? Then you got rims with the wrong bolt pattern..... and now the 14" replacement rims with the correct bolt pattern he talked you into don't fit without spacers...

That is different than him sending you the wrong size as replacement.

The owner/salesman sounds like a lazy sack, who is hiding under his moms skirt, ducking your calls.

he offers the same rim in a 15 inch but since he wont answer my calls that is why we are making it fit. and he told me 15 inch are more rare in the foresight venture therefor costing me almost double of the 14 inch. call him up and get his side of the story and let me know what he says........if he dosent just hang up on you. 509 929-2776 or 509 962-3390

  26. AKHWheels.com just found this and the reply is about this sale. The buyer forgot to mention he shipped back a set of wheels, back at our expense to and from. Then ordered another set for the car that came with 14" wheels originally. The wheels fit but required a 1/8" spacer. He ended up using a 1/8" spacer and since has e-mailed that this was a great choice in wheels, AFTER THE FACT Steven PUT THIS UP! Unfortunately this is still on the books here. We work with our buyers unlike what this shows. The buyer has since called numerous times to check on availability of wheels. As recent as 3 weeks ago to purchase for his neice a set of The same wheels and or possible the Indy 500 wheels..

It's good to read the second side of the story......Ya' both need to sit down and talk this out. I'm sure there's a point where rational behaviour will kick in. Please let us know what the middle ground is.

Why is it the sellers fault you can't read a tape and don't know what size wheels you want? He did one return, no problem, now you've got wheels that don't fit that you ordered, and think it's the venders responsiblilty. Seems a little off to me...

A thread from almost 3 years ago? I think I'd let sleeping dogs lie, but okay.
Gotta wonder why the OP couldn't tell between a Ford/Dodge pattern and a Chevy pattern.
Also, a lot vintage wheels don't always fit discs. An eighth inch spacer doesn't sound crazy....

BTW, ****oli hasn't been here since 12/2006.
