    Hey guys

I have a little bit of a problem. My trunk has been shaved before I got it. I was ok with it before I found my 1940 Tennessee plate. My normal plate is under the bumper with an LED light. I don’t want my Tennessee shaped plate under there. For one, you can’t see it well enough, two, it cost a lot of money and I don’t want to destroy it, three, I want to be able to hang my drag plate where the plate is located out now. I need to buy the handle kit and license plate bracket kit. About $270 on eBay. I’m including pictures of what the underside of my deck lid looks like and I’m not quite sure which holes to drill out. I don’t want to mess it up and have to fill it and primer it if I don’t have to. Eventually, I want to hook the deck lid handle up to lock it and use it to open the deck lid. Currently I have a cable ran beside the seat but I have to keep spraying it to keep it lubed so it doesn’t get stuck closed. My fuel filler has been put inside my trunk and it almost stranded me once. Does anybody have any pictures of the underneath of their deck lid with the handle license plate and V8 symbol are hooked up so I can install it properly

    Thanks,
    Rob

I recently shaved the handle on my 40 and based on what I found from the PO I wouldn't be surprised if you won't run into the same problem. It's one thing to find the proper mounting hole location but it's another to have a solid mounting surface for the handle. What does your lower latch look like?
BTW - I recently moved to Brentwood so it looks like we are neighbors

My trunk latch is still in use and in proper working order I have a cable running inside. That’s cool. One of my club members has a shop off of Sunset near the recycling maybe we will see each other around. We are the Pharoahs of Music City IMG_6886.JPG IMG_6889.JPG
