    Hi Everyone,
I'm looking for suggestions. I am trying to figure out brake pedal, master cylinder setup. I am building a 1950 Stude pickup with a 327 sbc, calipers up front, drums out back. I am thinking of running a Wilwood manual setup. What size of bore do I want? Any suggestions and opinions very welcome.

Would be best to contact Wilwood, explain what you are doing, what parts you want to use and get their advise.

You want the master cylinder bores to match the original used with the disk and drum setup you are using. So I would look for a disk / drum master that is very close. In many cases it turns out that the early Mustang disk / drum masters work out well.

Kool thanks Doublepumper. I think I am going to call Wilwood and do just that. Thanks Jim for your advice too. Wilwood tech should be able to point me in the right direction.

Please let us know where you are headed, my setup is similar, I went to 7/8" bore on my '32. Manual master cyl for '61 International Scout, that makes it HAMB friendly. Dorman has a great site with all the tech data at dormanproducts.com
I need more leverage, my pedal ratio ain't the best.

Shovel. I installed a non-power Wilwood 4 piston disc front set on my 56 Ford car. I used their 7/8” MC. My rears are 11” drums which are the stock size of the 56 only wider from an 80-90’s F-150. They stop way better than the all drum but are not as ez as power. A lot depends on the pedal ratio and Wilwood techs will ask that. If you go to a new rear end which had power brakes Wilwood suggested I install smaller diameter wheel cylinder which I also did.
